Workout Tips From A Strongman

1 November 2011 No Comment

In life, many times the phrase “monkey see – monkey do” has a negative connotation.  However, not always is it bad, as is the case with gaining valuable real life experience from those that have done and been where you may want to be and accomplish.  If gaining strength and power is a goal of yours, an excellent person to “pick their ear” is World’s Strongest Man champion Svend Karlsen.

In a recent M&F article interview, this was published, “What was your training regimen like? —- I always did a seven-week cycle.  I did sets of four reps.  For example, if I wanted to do four reps of 880 pounds on the deadlift, I would do seven sets of four with 570 the first week.  The next week I would do six sets of four with 600.  Then five sets of four with 660.  I’d keep taking off a set and adding 45 pounds.  It felt easy all the way through.  I used that system for every lift I wanted to be strong in.”

Be sure to back up all of that heavy heaving with some Creatine Powder: Strength & Muscle Men’s Formula.
